Mechanical assembly

HomeSyllabus Lectures Readings

Mechanical assembly is a common term in the industrial and manufacturing context. It is the process used in the line of assembly production. As products are moved through the chain, parts are added at certain points of the line. It is a very sensitive operation and it calls for expertise to ensure a cost-effective and assembly of products on time. Any mistake by the mechanical assemblers can lead to the ultimate product missing some components. Disassembling the final product to put the parts in order will only boost the cost of production.
